Manual OS Installation

1.1 Preparation

This section explains preparation requirements for installation.

1.1.1 Creating Driver Disk

When installing the OS manually, it is necessary to create a driver installation disk beforehand.

Create a driver disk by using PRIMERGY Startup Disc supplied with the server.

About the procedure for creating a driver disk, refer to "User's Guide".

Driver for array controller

Check your array controller type and create one of the following driver disks.

● Windows Server 2003

● Windows Server 2003 x64

■

Driver for onboard LAN / expansion card

A driver disk you create differs depending on your PRIMERGY type. Check your PRIMERGY type

and create an appropriate driver disk.

● PRIMERGY ECONEL 100 S2

Note: Driver disk is unable to be created from ServerStart for PRIMERGY ECONEL 100 S2.
